Late Summer Status of the Wuhan Virus and its Affect on the Online Retail Furniture Business –

During the pandemic business has been even more robust than usual and I think its due to 2 things. First of all, folks are staying home alot these days and instead of going on vacations they are updating their homes. Another reason for the increased business is where I think people are spending more time online and with all of that extra website traffic it just culminates into a busier than normal season. This is all very positive for American Rattan of course but it has caused some slow downs at the manufacturers as their back log of orders and upholstery has gotten longer. And our specialty shippers are also delayed as all of their available trucks come back from their routes and then are immediately refilled with back logged orders sitting in their warehouses. So the in-out of furniture orders is more delayed than usual. Most of our customers have understood these delays and we appreciate that you give us a little bit more of your patience this late season as we still have the pandemic to contend with. Finally, we are hopeful like everyone else that the therapeutics and even better a cure will be coming soon for this scourge on the U.S. and the world. Just think of how great our economy and country was doing and the virus tried to completely stop us – but no plague and no country will stop the USA.
