Bar Harbor Round Indoor-Outdoor Wicker Serving Table with Tray Model OCO-ST – FREE SHIPPING was named for the style of wicker that was made in Bar Harbor, Maine, as a transition from the styles of the Victorial period and more contemporary styles. Our Bar Harbor collection is a perfect example of this style of wicker furniture. Note the extensive use of braids and pineapple feet. Its classic look blends easily with any decor inside the home or outside on the covered porch. Because the style is clean and classic, a change of fabric easily changes it from very traditional, to tropic casual, to cottage and coastal looks. Its cushions are thick and comfortable, as with all our full-depth seating groups. The outdoor collection is constructed of aluminum frame and polyethylene weave, and is suitable for total outdoor exposure.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

CARE OF FRAMES:

Vacuum with a brush attachment to get rid of dust and loose dirt.
Occasionally the furniture may require a more thorough cleaning. When necessary use a mild soap, or Murphy’s Oil Soap, and water. Rinse and let dry thoroughly.

FABRIC CARE:

Vacuum regularly.
Cotton fabrics may be professionally dry-cleaned only using pure solvents (petroleum distillate-based products).
Acrylic fabrics may be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Acrylic fabrics may be unzipped and taken off foam. They may then be washed separately in a washing machine at the delicate cycle with cold water, and a mild detergent. Air-dry.
Re-apply Scotch-guard after cleaning.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS AND WARRANTY INFORMATION

Indoor All-Natural Wicker and Rattan

Natural rattan and wicker furniture will last for many years when placed indoors. It should never be placed outside or where it could be exposed to rain, sun, or high humidity, which can damage it. It can be placed on a covered porch as long as it doesn't receive direct sun or rain and there is good ventilation to avoid excessive humidity. When cleaning rattan, simply wipe it with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid using furniture polish or sprays, as over time the chemicals can damage the finish. For woven wicker furniture, vacuum or dust with a feather duster, and wipe with a clean, damp cloth.

Outdoor Poly Rattan and Teakwood

Outdoor poly furniture frames are designed to withstand exposure to the elements like rain and sun. All-natural teakwood, acacia, and balau wood furniture will not rot outdoors, but the finish will fade and discolor over time when fully exposed. Ideal locations for placing your outdoor furniture include covered lanais, patios, porches, and sunrooms. The fabric used for outdoor cushions is made from polyester and acrylic. Sunbrella is a well-known U.S. manufacturer of outdoor fabrics, and their fabrics are commonly used on outdoor furniture. While these fabrics have higher tolerance to the elements, they will eventually fade and age if exposed for long periods. For cleaning your cushions, if they have zippered covers, remove them, wash in cold water, and air dry to prevent shrinking. If the covers are not removable, use a soap and water mixture to thoroughly wipe down the cushions. After drying, spraying the cushions with Scotch Guard fabric protection can help prolong their life.

Warranty Information

American Rattan guarantees a damage-free delivery to your home. If your item is damaged, the bill of lading must always be annotated with information about the damage. If the damage is severe and beyond repair, refuse to accept the item, annotate the bill of lading, and keep a copy. Beyond delivery, the manufacturers offer a minimum warranty of at least one year, covering issues such as breakage or cracking of the furniture's wood or rattan frames. We will provide the manufacturer's specific warranty information and work diligently on your behalf to address warranty issues between you and the manufacturers. Note that cushions are not covered under warranty due to their varied nature of use and susceptibility to staining, damage, and fading.

The Bar Harbor design started originally in Maine and our summer home is on the coast near Portland. It seemed like no other furniture would be more perfect. It arrived quickly after ordering and we love it so much. The seats are wide and comfortable and the cushions very well made. I give it 5 stars for sure!
