Indoor All-Natural Wicker and Rattan
Natural rattan and wicker furniture will last for many years when placed indoors. It should never be placed outside or where it could be exposed to rain, sun, or high humidity, which can damage it. It can be placed on a covered porch as long as it doesn't receive direct sun or rain and there is good ventilation to avoid excessive humidity. When cleaning rattan, simply wipe it with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid using furniture polish or sprays, as over time the chemicals can damage the finish. For woven wicker furniture, vacuum or dust with a feather duster, and wipe with a clean, damp cloth. If your cushions have zippered covers, remove them, wash in cold water, and air dry to prevent shrinking. If the covers are not removable, use a soap and water mixture to thoroughly wipe down the cushions. After drying, spraying the cushions with Scotch Guard fabric protection can help prolong their life.
